Finding Healing and Hope in a Trauma Filled World

The word “trauma” is used frequently today. In fact, it is overused, but it is also true that the church of Jesus Christ resides in a traumatized world. Natural disasters, interpersonal trauma, and violence victims combined make up a huge pool of suffering and often incapacitated humans, many not only right outside the doors of our churches but also sitting in our pews. How can we, the church in the 21st century, respond to this great mission field of traumatized humans?
